Welcoming a Rainbow Baby: A Newborn Session

Welcoming baby Bennett into the studio is especially meaningful. As a precious rainbow baby, he is surrounded by so much love, and it is such an honour to capture this chapter for Alison and Jon.

They've been long-time clients, and I also had the joy of photographing their daughter Bay's newborn session. Watching families return as they grow is one of my favourite parts of this job.

For this session, Alison had her mom bring Bay to the studio for sibling and family photos before taking her home so we could focus on Bennett. It's something I often recommend to families with young children if they don't think they'll last the entire session. It helps keep the experience relaxed while still capturing those important family moments.

The rest of the session was all about Bennett, documenting these quiet, fleeting newborn days with soft, timeless portraits that this family will cherish for years to come.
