The Smiliest Little One: A First Birthday Cake Smash Session

Nick and Courtney decided to take Vivi’s first birthday cake smash session outdoors, and it was such a fun way to celebrate this little milestone.

Vivi is quite possibly one of the smiliest babies I’ve ever photographed. She had plenty of those big happy smiles throughout her first year, but then the cake came out... and suddenly, those smiles were a little harder to find.

We still managed to capture some very cute photos of her enjoying her first birthday, along with plenty of sweet family moments.

I’ve had the honour of photographing Nick and Courtney’s journey from their maternity session to Vivi’s newborn photos, and now her first birthday. This session officially completes their Luxury Membership with ECP, which makes it feel like such a special full circle moment.

I truly hope this isn’t the last time I get to photograph this family. I’d love to keep capturing Vivi as she grows and all the family milestones still to come.
