Emerson’s First Birthday with a Cake Smash

I first met this family during their maternity session, then again for newborn photos… and now we’re celebrating his first birthday with a cake smash. It’s always so special getting to document these milestones and watch little ones grow right in front of the camera.

For this session, everyone (except dad!) chose pieces from the studio wardrobe, which brought such a soft and cohesive feel to the photos. From family moments to those messy, smile-filled cake smash shots, Emerson truly stole the show.

It’s sessions like this that remind me how quickly these seasons pass… and how meaningful it is to have them captured along the way.
