From Wide Awake to Fast Asleep: A Studio Newborn Session

There's something so special about a newborn session where everything comes together so naturally. Baby James gave us the best of both worlds by spending part of the session wide awake before drifting off to sleep, allowing us to capture a beautiful mix of his awake personality, curious little expressions as well as his peaceful sleeping portraits.
Mom wore one of the studio wardrobe dresses, creating a soft and timeless look for their family photos. After the swaddled photos, we also dressed James in one of the studio outfits, keeping everything light, neutral, and classic.
One of the stars of the session was Sadie, the family's dog. She was incredibly well behaved in the studio and seemed to know exactly when to look at the camera! Including furry family members always adds something extra special to a session, and Sadie was no exception.
From awake newborn portraits to sleepy cuddles and a few perfect family moments with Sadie, this studio newborn session captured so many sweet memories for this growing family.
