Motherhood Petite Client Guide

Thank you so much for booking a Motherhood Petite Session with Elle Chic Photography! Being a Mom is no easy feat and one of the most important and rewarding roles in this thing called life. I can't wait to document your journey. To help you get the best experience possible, I have created Client Guide to ensure we have a successful shoot.

How to

PREPARE

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Location – Plan ahead of time and use gongle maps to determine how long it may take to arrive to the Elle Chic Photography Studio. Also take into consideration any traffic that may affect travel time before your session

Arrive on time –  Your assistance with arriving on time is so important for a successful day. Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes early to ensure you're ready at the time of your session.

When you arrive - Take off babies sock so we don't have sock rings around babies ankles. DO NOT pick any booger. Please gently wipe their nose if need be, but we don't want a red crying face from baby during their quick session.

Teething - Babies teeth, it happens! If you feel baby is teething, please give pain relief to your baby before they come so we have lots of smiles for the session.

Fed babies are happy babies - be sure to feed your babies before you come. There is limited amount of time during these sessions and I'd hate for you to lose your time with having to feed baby. You are welcome to arrive early and feed baby on the main floor before coming down into the studio.

Vaccines - Try to schedule vaccines and shots at least 4 days before the session. This will allow enough time for baby to recoup (if needed) from their doctor visit.

Images – Motherhood Petites run for 15 minutes maximum to provide you with the best 5 images. Sometimes, sessions can be less than 15 minutes, don’t freak out, it’s less because your baby has been awesome and nailed every pose!  I will ensure you get various images of your baby and provide you with a full gallery to select from.

PARENTS

It is really important that you allow me to build a great connection with your child.  Please allow me to interact with your little one while I’m shooting before you get involved unless your child is upset. This way they’re not overwhelmed and I capture their innocence.

There is no pressure on your children to perform at the session, natural shots are always best and I like to shoot in a fun, relaxed and easy manner so there is no pressure on them to be perfect or looking at the camera with big perfect smiles in every shot.  If you are wanting a full session, then please contact me direct for further information.

WHAT TO WEAR

Please let me know ASAP if you would like to wear anything from the studio wardrobe. If you're not wearing an outfit from the studio wardrobe, please be mindful of:

  • No logos if possible.  You want your images to be timeless.

  • Remember, if your children are comfortable in their clothes, then they will be relaxed and calm during the session.

  • As it is a 15 minute session we don’t have time for big outfit changes.

TOP TIPS

  • Arrive early! This way you are not stressed and all relaxed.

  • Plan your baby's sleep / awake time for that day if your session is during there sleep time.

  • Feed your baby before the session to ensure their full and happy. Arrive a little earlier and do this in the car if needed or on the main floor of the studio.

  • Clean your baby's faces (eyes, nose, mouth), it’s amazing what is always left behind.

  • Fingernails, hair cleaned

IF YOU MADE IT THIS FAR, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS. I CAN'T WAIT TO CAPTURE THESE MEMORIES FOR YOU.
